In mid-October 2022 we began an anticipated two-year journey away from our home in Portland, Oregon USA. We were in Thailand for about two months, but the first few nights of our journey we nursed our jet-lag in Singapore. We’ve done this jet-lag stop before and got a chance to see some more city sights too. In Singapore, we stayed at Hotel Boss (Superior Double $153 /night) just nine transit stops on the MRT from the airport and 20 minutes walk to the Little India neighborhood. Yeah for little India, big India, any India! We flew United Airlines coach from Portland, OR through San Francisco to Singapore for US$510 one-way, including seats and baggage fees per person.
Our ultimate destination for the first month in Thailand is Chiang Mai. We flew non-stop from Singapore on Scoot Airlines (Singapore Airlines-owned lower cost airline) for US$205 including seats and baggage fees per person. This place is incredible. It’s our favorite naturist spot in the world! After staying a week in the fall of 2022 we visit again for the month of December 2024 into the New Year 2025. In late November 2022 we stayed 11 nights (superior room, US$114/night) at this wonderful Phuket naturist hotel in southern Thailand. It was our second visit to Golf and Patty’s place. Love the pool and the location allowing us to walk to several favorite restaurants for dinner in the evenings. Otherwise, we’re naked at the pool with no sign of a tan line!

Villa Sirilanna Hotel - 29 nights, luxury king with balcony, $56/night including tax and breakfast. We’ll be entering Thailand on a 30-day visa and will need to leave the country following our time in Chiang Mai. But we will return after about a week in Malaysia.
This is our go-to hotel property inside the Old City of Chiang Mai. We’ve stayed in other properties in other nearby areas but we like prefer this neighborhood for restaurants; coffee shops; services like massage, nails, book shops, laundry; and a wonderful Chinese medicine and acupuncture clinic — all within a few minutes walking. We’ll be staying again for five nights in late-October 2024.
As we’ve done before, we shuttled from Pattaya to downtown Bangkok for our last four nights and a return visit to Trinity Silom Hotel (Premier room, US$32 /night).
