Reflections on France
Oh France. Oh the French. We love you and you love us back. Thanks for the Statue of Liberty. We’re in this together. It can get complicated. But we love it!
We both have been to France on multiple occasions. Our late June, early July visit 2023 was unique (no Paris!) in that we entered by train from Barcelona, Spain in the south. We discovered a unique south of France Mediterranean location, Cap d’Agde, and proceeded on the excellent French train system to Bordeaux. Bordeaux! Where have you been all our lives?! We loved it. Gorgeous and manageable!
Bordeaux’s wine museum and the intoxicating nonchalant gastronomy experiences were standout memories. The mouth waters as these words spill out! Bordeaux was extra special for us as we were the royal guests of friends for a long weekend in their home. We wrapped up our limited France itinerary with a week at a vast clothing optional village on the Atlantic coast not far from Bordeaux. We’ve never shopped for morning croissants before completely naked. It was a very natural experience at Euronat. And we were off to Rome before Bastille Day!
Below find our France accommodations, in reverse chronological order. In each location find a carousel of housing pics (except nothing for our Bordeaux private home visit) and a carousel of activities pics.
