An easy, non-stop 4-hour flight from Portland, Oregon to Guadalajara on Mexico’s Volaris Airlines was perfect to begin this first-time ever visit to Mexico’s second largest city. Mexico is a familiar and always joyous destination with gobs of previous visits to Puerto Vallarta and other coastal destinations years ago including Zihuatanejo, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Tulum.
