We were here March 9-13, 2024 ($153/night without breakfast — a little overpriced). Location Location Location! This is the island's favorite sunset spot and we were just steps away from the Moai statues! Takarua Lodge on Easter Island was a perfect choice for our magical four night stay! Fresh flowers, breakfast on our patio with the chickens and roosters in a spacious and cozy room with beautiful blue towels! (Anything but shades of dull white!)

The hotel staff along with everyone we met here delivered their best! As we were boarding the plane a local tour guide told us to tell our people that they are welcome here and to please come!!

We almost booked a private tour on Easter Island but was so glad we chose the two-day, small group tour from Green Island Tours instead. What a great group of about 8 of us! Much more fun than doing it along with just a guide. On Easter Island, there is a separate Rapa Nui National Park entrance ticket required to visit all the locations with moai (except the sunset spot near our hotel that requires no ticket).
